CE CERTIFICATION: EMC and Safety - How to make your machinery compliant with International Standards. The CE mark is mandatory for industrial machinery and assembly lines shipped to many countries around the world. In this action-packed session, we will discuss the Directives, major safety hazards, EMC testing, and the most common errors. You'll Discover:

  • How to get your product to market quickly and cost effectively
  • How to conform to all pertinent Standards
  • If and how to do CE Certification to prevent time to market delays

The Enerdoor Group is an international leader in the development and production of power quality and electromagnetic solutions for automated machinery and industrial plants.  The Group's broad range of products include: EMI-RFI filters, motor protection devices, harmonic filters, line reactors, surge arresters, voltage stabilizers, and CE Certification.

Did you know that CE certification is required when machines ship overseas, and that more than 50% of machines fail first time EMC testing?!  This video discusses high frequency electrical emissions related to CE compliance testing, with a focus on conducted emissions.

This video webinar is in italian and for our italian market. Finmotor and Enerdoor invite you to this free webinar on electromagnetic compatibility and harmonic distortion. How many times have you suffered from radio frequency disturbance on installed machines?
This in depth training will cover topics related to the EMC Directive, how to deal with compliance issues, and problems related to motor breakdowns and harmonic distortion.

This Enerdoor video covers the basics of CE Certification, explaining what it is, who needs it, which countries require it and how Enerdoor's flat rate guaranteered solution is unique in the industry.

Power Factor Correction is the use of technology to restore power factor as close to unity as possible. This is usually achieved by the additional use of capacitors to the electrical network. Although capacitor banks help with power factor correction, they definitely leave room for improvement. Enerdoor understood this and developed a new technology, the FINSVG, which provides a better solution for power factor correction than the commonly used capacitor banks.

The sine wave filter series reduces the pulse wave modulation (PWM) effect, converts the PWM to a sine wave and reduces dV/dt. The FIN915SF model is used with fundamental frequencies up to 2 kHz. The high-frequency inductance FIN960F is a unique solution used for synchronous spindle motor applications.

Power quality is a significant concern for manufacturing and power generation facilities. This is due to harmonic disturbance and reactive power, which is produced by unbalanced loads, variable frequency drives and motors. The Enerdoor harmonic filter series solves harmonic disturbance and power quality issues by compensating current harmonics and power factor correction generated by industrial loads.

Enerdoor’s unique R&D and field testing lead to the design of a very innovative product line for industrial and commercial motors controlled by VFDs. Unlike similar products, the FIN47SNB is able to protect both winding insulations and bearings at the same time. The FIN47SNB is used in parallel to the system and is an ideal solution for clients in need of improving the reliability of winding insulation and bearings. It offers very low power loss and protects any type of motor configuration, including: 3-phase, 3-phase plus ground, and 3-phase plus star point plus ground.

Surge arresters are installed at the front end of a system for the purpose of diverting harmful overvoltage transients caused by external (lightning) and/or internal (switching) events to ground safely. All models include remote contact, visual indicator, and comply with the UL 1449, IEC 61643-11, and VDE 0675 International Standards. DIN rail or screw mounting options are available with select models offering plug and play replaceable cards for quick and easy installation and replacement.

Enerdoor motor protection reduces harmful dV/dt generated by variable frequency drives imposed onto the motor. Motor protection devices are designed to work in various applications of switching frequencies and frequency outputs.

The Enerdoor sine wave filters FIN905SF and FIN915SFH reduce the PWM effect, converts the PWM to a sine wave and eliminates dV/dt. These lines work with applications in open or closed-loop feedback. This series carries CE and UL approvals and offers a current range from 3 to 1000A.

The Enerdoor parallel filter series is a unique solution available with nominal voltage up to 750 Vac and handles any current level due to the parallel nature. These filters are available in 3-phase and 3-phase plus neutral, are UL recognized and feature DIN rail mounting allowing for fast and easy installation.

Parallel filters provide high attenuation in the frequency range of 10 kHz to 5 MHz thus providing a solution for applications with low-frequency problems. When used in conjunction with an Enerdoor filter series, this combination ensures RF protection for equipment in any environment.

As one of the top-ranked CE labs in the country, Enerdoor offers a wide range of testing methods and Standard compliance. Our flat rate, on-site testing specializes in the measurement and analysis of electromagnetic compatibility of systems in accordance with the EMC, FCC Part 15 and Safety Directives. Enerdoor also utilizes mobile laboratories to perform necessary tests at the customer’s facility. Enerdoor filters provide solutions to meet the conducted, radiated, and immunity test requirements.

EMI filters are used to suppress interference generated by the device, or by other equipment, to protect a device from electromagnetic interference signals present in the environment. Most EMI filters consist of components that suppress differential and common mode interference. To protect and optimize equipment, Enerdoor EMI/RFI filters provide solutions in three product categories: single-phase, three-phase, and three-phase plus neutral filters.

The Enerdoor voltage stabilizer series regulates voltage through a series of transformers. A static control circuit drives the variable autotransformer that supplies the required voltage to a series transformer, either in phase or out of phase, to bring the main to the rated value.

The models FINSTT and FINSTC perform voltage regulation by an average of three phases and are suitable for lines with balanced voltage and for an unbalance between phases up to 50%.

The models FINSTTY and FINSTCY are equipped with one stabilizing circuit for each phase and are suitable for unbalanced mains with a maximum unbalance between phases up to 100%.

A line reactor in series is effective only at low frequencies. An Enerdoor EMI/RFI filter tested effective at reducing noise to below FCC Part 15 and European limit (from 150KHz-30Mhz). Enerdoor filters are ROHS compliant, CE approved, UL approved for the US and Canada, and hold the SCCR short-circuit current rating (UL 508).

The Enerdoor Group is an international leader in power quality and electromagnetic solutions for automated machinery and industrial plants.

The Group's broad range of products include: EMI-RFI filters, motor protection, harmonic filters, line reactors, surge arresters, voltage stabilizers, and customized solutions.

In addition to EMC filter solutions, Enerdoor offers flat rate on-site CE Certification and testing required by IEC and EN Standards.
